Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the services provided by Lucas McGee trading as McGee Auto Detailing ("we," "us," "our"), a mobile auto detailing business operating in Tasmania, Australia. By booking our services, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. Services Offered

We offer various auto detailing services, including exterior washing, interior cleaning, waxing, polishing, and other related services. A detailed list of services is available on our website or upon request. All services will be performed on-site at the customer’s preferred  location.

2. Bookings and Payment

2.1 Booking: Appointments can be scheduled through our website, phone or email. Please provide accurate details, including your location and vehicle type, when making a booking.
2.2 Payment Terms: Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed. We accept cash, credit cards, and electronic transfers.
2.3 Cancellations: Cancellations or rescheduling must be done at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Late cancellations may incur a fee of 5% of the booked package price.
2.4 No-show Policy: If the customer is not present or the vehicle is not available at the time of service, a no-show fee of 5% of the booked package price may be charged.

3. Pricing and Quotation

3.1 Quotes: All quotes for our services are based on the information provided by the customer regarding vehicle size, condition, and service location.
3.2 Additional Charges: Extra charges may apply for heavily soiled vehicles, pet hair removal, or other conditions not disclosed at the time of booking. We will inform you of any additional charges before commencing work.

3.3 Quote Expiry: All quotes are viable for 6 months, after 6 months a new quote must be requested as the old one expires.

4. Customer Responsibilities

4.1 Access to the Vehicle: The customer must ensure reasonable access to the vehicle at the scheduled time and location.
4.2 Pre-existing Damage: It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us of any and all pre-existing damage to the vehicle. We will not be responsible for any damage to the vehicle which is not caused by our services.
4.3 Personal Belongings: Customers should remove all personal belongings from the vehicle before the service. We are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to any items left in the vehicle.

5. Liability

5.1 Service Quality: We take all reasonable care to provide high-quality detailing services. However, we are not responsible for any damage to the vehicle caused by wear and tear, existing defects, or underlying defects in the vehicle’s condition.
5.2 Insurance: We carry all necessary insurances, including public liability insurance, relating to providing this service.
5.3 Force Majeure: We are not liable for any delays or failures in providing services due to circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather conditions, accidents, or technical issues beyond our control. We are not responsible for any damage to the vehicle caused by severe weather conditions, such as hailstorms.

6. Standards of Work

6.1 Service Guarantee: We will take all reasonable effort and care to detail your vehicle and achieve the best result available based on the pre-existing condition of your vehicle and agreed service scope.
6.2 Exclusions: We do not guarantee results for certain conditions, such as paint oxidation, deep scratches, or permanent stains that cannot be removed through regular detailing techniques.

7. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if we determine that the vehicle is in a condition that makes it unsafe or unsuitable for detailing, or if we encounter any hazards that were not disclosed during booking.

8. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia & The Commonwealth Of Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tasmania.

9. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated through our website or directly to customers.
